So, Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year. That means that, after work, you probably only have about an hour to get ready for the big date, right? There could also suddenly be more traffic than usual, or maybe it started raining and the outfit you were planning on wearing is hanging on the line outside. What more can go wrong?!
Here are 4 things you can do to make sure that your buzzing busy day turns into a charming, posh evening:
Get the time-consumers out of the way
Use the weekend, or even Monday, to do things like shape your eyebrows, fix your nails, wax and rejuvenate your skin with a face mask and/or nose strip. If you are already feeling fresh on Tuesday, getting ready will go so much quicker on Valentine’s Day!
Do a decent sweep-through
Make sure that when you leave your house on Tuesday morning, it is already spotless. Do this for two reasons: Firstly, if you are in a rush, having a neat and tidy space will make it much easier to get ready and to find all your things. Secondly, if your date comes inside, you want to make sure your home looks as good as you do!
Know what to wear
Take time on Monday night to plan your outfit carefully (this includes handbag, accessories and shoes!) and lay it all out neat and ready. Have your make-up station set-up too so that the getting ready process goes even faster. Include your perfume at your make-up station so that you don’t forget that glamorous last-minute spray!
Ready, set, hair!
Your hair probably looks stunning when it is natural, but let’s face it, you want to use this day as an excuse to pull that elaborate, romantic hairstyle! But how long is it going to take? Well first get those frizzy ends silky smooth with a ceramic straightening brush, add a few bobby-pins, and voila, you can create a head-turning hairstyle in just minutes!
